Supporting rowers in Ukraine

Club member Kasia Brzoska has been organising and encouraging rowers in Ely to show their support for fellow rowers in Ukraine. The fundraising campaign is supporting the Polish Rowing Association to coordinate help from rowing clubs in Poland for Ukrainian rowers and their families. The collected money will be used to organise transport from Ukraine, provide food and accommodation in Poland as well as a place to continue training.

Ely’s new club kitchen was put to excellent use with a special fundraising morning, with all money raised from the Saturday breakfast club being donated. Club member Derek Pickersgill, meanwhile, has been raising money for the campaign by selling his rowing books.
