Training Kit
Our training kit and casual wear is available to order directly from Sigma. Any kit you order will be delivered to the club.
Race Kit
We order our custom racing kit from JL Racing. The order window will be opened several times a year and the club will notify all members of the details of the upcoming windows. JL produces high quality rowing-specific kit that will last you a long time. If you intend to race, you should invest in either an all in one and/or a tech top.
You can also order custom rowing kit (suitable for both training and racing) from Stitch Rowing.

Rowing Kit FAQs
How do I know what size to order?
Sigma lists measurements on each product page, and JL provides a detailed size guide. Stitch has specific size guides for each product (e.g., for all-in-ones). Another good idea is to ask a club member – borrow their kit and try for size!
Do I have to wear club kit all the time?
No, absolutely not. For training, what matters is safety and functionality. Try this guide from British Rowing if you’re unsure. Racing is the only time you’ll definitely need club kit.
Why is there so much lycra?
Rowers like lycra because it dries quickly, allows free movement, can be easily layered, and doesn’t get caught on oar handles or under moving seats. If you prefer to train in other kit that does the job, that’s fine.
What’s a zephyr?
Glad you asked. A zephyr is a (stylish) retro short sleeved rowing shirt often worn in summer (and available from Stitch).
