Ely Head Race
6th Nov 2022
It was a wet and windy one but competitors and club volunteers alike were determined to have a successful head race. All of us at Isle of Ely RC were really pleased to welcome back crews to our fantastic stretch of river.
Race day featured three divisions of great racing, with crews from many of near-ish neighbours including Deben, Huntingdon, Peterborough City, St Ives, St Neots, Sudbury, West Norfolk, and of course the Cambridge clubs: Cambridge 99s, Champs, Chesterton, City, Jesus College, X-Press and the Leys School.
The race committee give many thanks to all who helped out and made the event possible – club members, parents, supporters, and of course the umpiring team. It was a long soggy day, and every contribution is greatly appreciated.
