Tim was tragically killed in a car accident on 18th February.
He was an inspirational Junior coach whose kindness, skill and commitment will be greatly missed.
The Club extends its deepest sympathy to Tim's family and friends.
On Saturday 21 November Isle of Ely club members ditched their lycra for black tie and enjoyed a delicious 3-course meal with plenty of drinking and dancing to a live band to celebrate the clubs 10th Anniversary.
The Maltings, Ely was filled with 145 guests including club members, friends and supporters of the club. A silent auction and raffle helped to raise over £4,000 towards the purchase of new equipment.
Congratulations to Ely rower Leo Lundgren on winning the IM1 2x category and coming 8th overall out of 490 boats at the Pairs Head. Sculling as a composite crew under Isle of Ely colours with Frazer Christie, a Start rower from Bath University, they completed the 4.5km course in 13min 56 seconds.
At the other end of the rowing spectrum (and the other end of the fleet), Trevor and Rodney competed as a Masters Category F pair, clocking 17 min 21 seconds – a time which failed to win them any silverware whatsoever.
