Over the bank holiday weekend, 32 club members took part in a marathon challenge to raise money for Addenbrookes Hospital.

As we can’t do much rowing on the river, members with ergos at home have pulled them out into the sunshine for a sponsored (ergo) challenge to raise money for Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust – part of our local NHS.

Some families took this on as a relay doing the whole distance in one sitting and some completed it in stints over the Easter weekend.

The original intention was to try and raise £500 but over £6,000 was raised including gift aid.

The club hopes that this will go a little way in showing appreciation for all of the hard work and sacrifice being given by our frontline NHS workers.
