Alice Thompson will join the USC women's rowing team for the spring semester beginning in January 2017. She competed for the Isle of Ely Rowing Club with the GB Start Programme. Alice earned a bronze medal in the JW4x at the British Rowing Junior Championships as well as a bronze at the Henley Women's Regatta.

"USC has fantastic opportunities for athletes and offers rowing and academic success" said Thompson. "It facilitates my needs of a group of highly driven, determined and mentally tough individuals like myself and has an excellent psychology program."

About us

We are a relatively new club founded in 2004.  The club was born out of the Diamond44 celebrations which marked the 60th anniversary of the 1944 University Boat Race rowed at Ely. The Club colours, dark blue for Oxford and light blue for Cambridge, symbolise this connection. We serve Ely and the area north of Cambridge
